The Youth Substance Awareness and Safety Program addresses civil violations of the underage possession of alcohol and marijuana laws. 

What to expect: 

A meeting with a case manager to discuss substance use and impact, 

Filling out a survey regarding substance use, 

Development of program agreement and expectations, which may include meeting with a licensed clinician

Payment of program fee

If you choose not to participate in this program the ticket is issued through the Vermont Judicial Bureau. The penalty is a $300 fine and a 90-day suspension of driving privileges, subsequent offenses may result in steeper consequences.
